HIT Enters into MoU with South Ural State University of Russia

The Harare Institute of Technology has entered into a Memorandum of Understating (MoU) with the South Ural State University of Russia to engage in a programme of cooperation.

The two universities agreed to promote exchange and cooperation in academic areas of research, develop new areas of research and teaching as well as the dissemination of information and documentation in areas of mutual interest. They also agreed to facilitate the exchange and cooperation between staff of both universities in research, publication, teaching supervision and examination of students, organisation and hosting of conferences and other areas of mutual interest.

The MoU also covers the facilitation, development, incubation, transfer and commercialisation of technologies for the industrialisation of the respective countries. The two parties will also facilitate the exchange of students’ visits or participation in educational programmes of each university. Other specific activities, projects, programmes relevant funding and other matters relating to the implementation of this agreement shall be negotiated separately.

This MoU shall be effective for five years.
