A delegation of over 30 officers from the Zimbabwe Defence University National Defence Course 08/2019 visited HIT today for a familiarisation tour of the Institute's operations and activities.
The delegation was led by Air Commodore Patrick Moyo and had 33 participants from the ZNA, Airforce of Zimbabwe, Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services, ZRP, the Office of the President, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Ministry of Home Affairs and Local Government as well as some officers from Zambia, Malawi, Nigeria,Tanzania and Botswana.
HIT Pro Vice Chancellor, Dr Maxwell Chanakira addressed the delegation emphasising that HIT is sticking to its mandate of developing, incubating, transferring and commercialisation of technology for the country's rapid industrialisation. He added that the University is a fully STEMitised learning and research institution working hard towards proffering home grown solutions to address some of the technological, engineering and business management challenges being experienced in the various sectors of the country's economy.
