The School of Industrial Sciences and Technology has held a workshop on "Effective Leadership and Management in a University Setup" targeting departmental chairpersons, heads of University centres and units as well as school administrators.
The workshop's objectives were to equip the university leaders with essential skills and knowledge to run their units effectively, to acquaint them with strategic thinking skills and to align new leaders with the core HIT values and policies.
The main speakers included Mr Patric Kariwo, a Managing Partner with PK Advisory Services, Dr T. Mutenga, the CEO of Nash Paints, Dean Eng. P. Muredzi, Mrs M. Samupindi, the HIT Registrar, Dean W. Gwarimbo and Mr H. Gatsi, Deputy Registrar for Academic Affairs.
