
His Excellency the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe and Chancellor of the Harare Institute of Technology, Cde R.G. Mugabe will confer bachelor of technology degrees to 347 graduands at a ceremony scheduled for Thursday 20 October at the Harare Institute of Technology campus in Belvedere, Harare.
The ceremony will begin at 9am.
The graduands are coming from the Institute's four schools; namely Engineering and Technology, Industrial Sciences and Technology, Information Science and Technology and Business and Management Sciences and the Institute's 16 academic departments which are among others, Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical and Process Systems Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electronic Commerce, Computer Science and Software Engineering.
This year's Graduation Ceremony will be the Institute's seventh graduation ceremony since its inception in 2005.
The 347 graduands represent an 8.4% increase from last year's figure of 320, with female graduands constituting 31.4% of the graduating class- a 5.9% increase from last year.
With this year's graduation, HIT will now have an alumni base of close to 1500 graduates.
