Information Science and Assurance Publishes Its First Journal

The “Journal of Information Security and Assurance, Volume 1, Issue 1” published by the Harare Institute of Technology’s School of information Science and Technology is out.

The Journal of Information Security and Assurance is published to share research papers on information security and assurance development and innovative concepts, designs and strategies, lay a foundation for interdisciplinary researches, and contribute to sustainable development of knowledge within the field of cyber security.

Information Science and Assurance Publishes Its First JournalThe journal’s list of abstracts includes Web Application Vulnerabilities detection - Analysis and Reporting Systems, Secure Cloud Storage Using AES, EDD AND PDP, Network Traffic, E-Government Authentication Using NFC, Forensic Intrusion Detection System for Virtual Machines, Spam Detection, Criminal Record Facial Recognition System as well Copyright Protection Using Invisible Digital Image Watermarking in National Galleries.

The Journal of Information Security and Assurance covers topics such as foundational concepts in security, principles of secure design, defensive programming, threats and attacks, network security, cryptography, web security, platform security, security policy and governance, digital forensics, secure software engineering, mobile security, cloud security, Big data and machine learning in security, malware analysis, human factors in information security, cyber security (cybercrime, cyber espionage), critical infrastructure security, security and privacy applications, secure e-transaction systems, identity and access management and industrial control systems security.

This is a subscription-based journal published twice a year by the Harare Institute of Technology

The nine-member Editorial Team is headed by Engineer R. Shonhiwa who is the Chairperson of the Department of Information Security and Assurance.
