The second day of HIT Technovation Expo 2025 was marked by exciting competitions and insightful sessions. Among the key events were the highly anticipated Portfolio Engineering Challenge and the Tamba Dlala: Level Up Africa Games Development Hackathon.
The Portfolio Challenge, now in its second edition, showcased innovative financial engineering solutions from young talents aiming to revolutionise investment strategies. The Prize Giving Ceremony celebrated the top performers who demonstrated exceptional skill and creativity in portfolio management.
Meanwhile, the Tamba Dlala: Level Up Africa Games Development Hackathon energised the expo, with developers competing to create engaging, next-generation video games. Participants demonstrated impressive technical prowess and storytelling talent, reflecting the rapid growth of game development in Africa and beyond.
In addition to competitions, the day featured the International Conference on Combating Non-Communicable Diseases through AI and Financial Inclusion, a workshop hosted by the Centre of Artificial Intelligence, and the School of Information Science and Technology. The event also commemorated World Youth Skills Day with a seminar on “Youth Empowerment through Artificial Intelligence and Digital Skills,” emphasising the importance of youth participation in shaping the future of technology.
Day two at HIT Technovation Expo 2025 proved to be a dynamic platform for innovation, technology development, incubation, transfer, and commercialisation, as well as collaboration and youth empowerment in the digital age.
