HOW TO APPLY

Application forms are obtainable from the institute at a non-refundable fee which is equivalent to USD$20.00 at the prevailing interbank rate for Zimbabweans only and USD$50.00 for international applicants.

Please deposit a non-refundable application fee of USD20.00 for local undergraduate applicants and USD$20.00 for international undergraduate applicants into the Harare Institute of Technology Bank Account Number indicated below.

ON-LINE APPLICATION

  • Go to online application
  • Click on the Online Application link
  • Fill in the form accordingly
  • Pay the required application fee using pay now (visa card or ecocash)
  • Upload the following certified PDF documents during on-line application;
  • O-Level Certificates
  • A-Level Certificates
  • Birth Certificate
  • National Identification Card or First two pages of a candidate’s passport
  • Diploma/Degree/Masters Transcript(s) and
  • Submit the form online.

PHYSICAL APPLICATION

  • Download application form by clicking; Download application form.
  • Print and complete application form, deposit the application fee at the Finance Office.
  • You can also collect an application form from Harare Institute of Technology, Admissions Office.

Submission of Application Form

Completed application form should be submitted and accompanied with relevant Educational Certified Copies of the Following:-

  • ‘O’ Level Certificate
  • ‘A’ Level Certificate
  • Birth Certificate
  • National Identification Card or First two pages of a candidate’s passport
  • Diploma/Degree/Masters Transcript(s) and
  • Bank Deposit slip of the foresaid application fee.

Please take note

  • Always indicate your full names on the bank deposit slip.
  • General Requirements – Candidates must hold 5 “O” Levels passes at grade ‘C’ or better with passes in Mathematics and English.
  • Course is four (4) years fulltime for undergraduate and  two (2) years block release postgraduate degrees.
  • English is the language of instruction at Harare Institute of Technology.
  • While the Institute has adequate ICTs facilities for teaching and learning purposes, students are urged to bring their own laptops or iPads to fully utilize the Institute Wi-Fi facility.
  • Applications for undergraduate and post graduate degree programmes are normally submitted from mid-January every year and lectures commence in August.
  • Closing date for receiving late applications is end of March for undergraduate as well as postgraduate programs every year
