- A Bachelor’s degree in Crop Science or equivalent;
- Research, field trials, or innovation project experience
- A solid understanding of crop physiology, agronomy, and crop management practices;
- Willingness to participate in field-based research and experimental trials and
- Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary research teams.
Skills and Competences
- Strong observational, analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Exposure to AI, data analytics, remote sensing, or HIS applications in agriculture;
- Familiarity with sensors, drones, or automated agricultural equipment and
- Basic programming or data analysis skills (Python, R, MATLAB).
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supporting research projects in crop production, precision agriculture, and smart farming systems.
- Assisting in field and laboratory experiments related to crop growth, soil health, and yield assessment,
- Collecting, managing, and analysing agronomic and environmental data (field, sensor or image based),
- Supporting deployment and testing of AI-driven and robotic agricultural systems (e.g. field robots, drones, automated monitoring tools),
- Assisting in calibrating, validating, and evaluating of intelligent farming technologies,
- Conducting literature reviews in crop science, agritech, AI, and agricultural robotics,
- Contributing to technical reports, research publications, and presentations,
- Collaborating with AI researchers, engineers, roboticists and agricultural experts,
- Ensuring compliance with agricultural, environmental and safety standards during field work.
