The Harare Institute of Technology (HIT), through one of its flagship innovation companies, LADS Africa, is proudly representing Zimbabwe at VivaTech 2026, one of the world’s leading technology and startup events taking place from 17–20 June 2026 in Paris, France.
At the exhibition, LADS Africa is showcasing its homegrown digital solutions, including its comprehensive Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform, Smart City solutions for Parking and Water Management, a Mobile Revenue Collector, and a Citizen Engagement System, which was officially launched by the President of Zimbabwe on 18 June 2026.
Working with local authorities across Africa, LADS Africa addresses a common challenge facing municipalities on the continent: reliance on fragmented systems and manual processes that reduce operational efficiency, limit revenue collection, and weaken service delivery. Through its integrated GovTech platforms, the company is helping local authorities modernise operations, improve revenue management, and deliver better services to citizens.
The exhibition has already generated significant interest, with the team receiving numerous business enquiries, attracting investment opportunities, and engaging in discussions around several potential partnerships. Participation at VivaTech forms part of HIT’s broader ambition to expand beyond Zimbabwe’s borders and build strategic collaborations across Africa and internationally.
With more than 180,000 visitors expected to attend, VivaTech 2026 provides an unparalleled platform for networking, collaboration, and showcasing innovation. This year’s event also marks Zimbabwe’s first-ever participation at VivaTech, creating new opportunities for engagement between Zimbabwean innovators and the global technology ecosystem.
