Harare Institute of Technology (HIT) received the Innovation Award at the 2023 Public Sector Management Awards (PSMA) held on Friday 19 January 2024 at the Monomutapa Hotel in Harare.

The award was a recognition of HIT’s many innovations in 2023. “HIT demonstrated an exceptional ability to contribute to Zimbabwe’s rapid industrialisation and modernisation through remarkable research, development and innovation outputs”, read the citation by the organisers of the awards Stallone Consultancy.
