The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) is currently setting up a Microbiology Laboratory with a cold room at the Harare Institute of Technology (HIT).

This follows the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between TIKA and HIT in 2023.

TIKA has availed some equipment being used to set up the laboratory. HIT and TIKA are currently training individuals who will work on the project.

HIT is expected to submit a report on the laboratory’s functioning in 2024 and 2025 to TIKA.
